Acarbose
Precose

Use:	Alpha-glucosidase inhibitor
	Diabetes mellitus, oral hypoglycemic agent

Dose:	Dog:	100-200 mg PO with each meal
	Cat:	12.5-25 mg PO with each meal

Note:

In dogs increase dose every 2-4 weeks until glycemic variables improve or side-effects develop.

Form:

Tablets: 25, 50 & 100 mg
