Biography of Dr. Ned F.
Kuehn

Dr. Ned
F. Kuehn has been involved
with veterinary education and helping veterinarians throughout his career. As an
author, lecturer, and clinician, he has authored 40 scientific articles and book
chapters and has lectured to veterinary audiences worldwide. He manages an
active caseload as the Chief of the Internal Medicine Department and a partner
at Michigan Veterinary Specialists (MVS). He is a member of the
American
College of Veterinary
Internal Medicine, American Veterinary Medical Association, British Small Animal
Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical
Association, Comparative Gastroenterology Society, and Comparative Respiratory
Society. Dr. Kuehn has active committee assignments with the
American
College of Veterinary
Internal Medicine, American Animal Hospital Association, and Michigan Veterinary
Medical Association.
He received his BA from
Albion
College
(Michigan), his DVM from
Michigan
State
University,
College of
Veterinary
Medicine, and a MS degree
from Purdue
University. He completed an
internship in small animal medicine at Louisiana
State
University and a residency in
Internal Medicine at Purdue
University. Dr. Kuehn is board
certified by the American
College of Veterinary
Internal Medicine in the subspecialty of small animal internal medicine.
Dr. Kuehn created what is now the North American Companion Animal
Formulary 15 years ago to satisfy an unmet need for a practical, comprehensive,
convenient, pocket-sized guide that would help veterinary practitioners better
manage their patients' conditions.
